Court-Ordered Community Service
Community Service shifts are available for those who have hours to be worked by court order. For any additional details, court ordered volunteers are required to attend orientation. Orientation and subsequent shifts will be at our center at 2650 Municipal Way.
- For orientation, community service workers (CSWs) will need to be assigned to the Kearney Center. Paperwork that reflects that assignment, as well as a government issued ID, are required to participate in orientation. CSWs will need to be in our arrival lobby by 3:00pm in order to be eligible to attend orientation. Orientation is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 3:00pm.
- CSWs signing up for additional shifts are to report to the front central control station at 6:30pm, if they have not signed up for shifts at the conclusion of their previous shift.
- Information regarding double hours will be explained during orientation. In order to qualify for double hours, CSWs must have at least 50 hours of uncompleted community service, and have probation offices in Leon or Gadsden counties.
- If an offender does not show up for a scheduled shift or has not called out at least an hour prior to the start of the shift, this will be considered a “no call/no show.” After two (2) “no call/no shows,” the CSWs will be unable to complete their hours at our center without permission from a supervisor.
*All of the shifts with an asterisk have two (2) female and four (4) male sign-up slots. The non-asterisked shift has one (1) male and one (1) female sign-up slot.
