In honor of National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week (Nov. 11-19), The Kearney Center hosted a cook-off to raise money for the region’s only emergency homeless shelter. Local community volunteers Jon Brown, Tom Derzypolski, Ann Howard and Matt Thompson went head-to-head in a cooking competition, which took place at The Garden at Township this morning. Enter a drawing for a fun and exciting adventure in Tallahassee! Winner will receive helicopter ride that showcases the beauty of the St. Mark’s lighthouse and coast at dusk. The ride will leave from the Bannerman Crossing helicopter pad and flyover the coast to the lighthouse at St. Mark’s and return. Winner will receive a $200 gift card for dinner at Blu Halo.
